As a Senior Backend Developer, you will engage in challenging e-commerce projects, collaborating with your team to build robust backend architectures and innovative features. We blend technical excellence with modern Agentic Development Workflows, integrating AI deeply into our development cycle to automate repetitive tasks and concentrate on complex architectural decisions.

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be a pivotal technical contributor to our projects. You will develop scalable e-commerce solutions, apply your expertise to technical decisions, and work closely with developers, project managers, and clients.

You will introduce new ideas, optimize existing systems, and leverage modern technologies, including AI-supported development processes, to continuously enhance our projects. You will utilize modern AI tools to boost productivity, helping to establish Agentic Workflows within the team and define best practices for working with AI agents.

Your Responsibilities:

• Developing and enhancing Shopware-based e-commerce platforms
• Conceiving and implementing scalable backend architectures
• Developing custom features, APIs, and integrations
• Object-oriented implementation using PHP and Symfony
• Performance optimization and quality assurance
• Collaborating with project management, frontend development, and clients
• Utilizing modern development approaches, including AI-supported tools
• Actively shaping technical solutions and best practices within the team

What You Bring:

• Several years of experience as a Backend Developer
• Profound Shopware experience (prerequisite)
• Excellent knowledge of PHP, Symfony, and MySQL
• Experience in developing e-commerce systems
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented work ethic
• Extensive experience in Agentic Development and using AI-Native tools
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and scalable web architectures
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Very good German language skills (C1/C2) and good English language skills

Optional / Nice to Have:

• Experience with Pimcore
• Experience with Headless architectures
• Experience with Cloud environments or DevOps workflows
