Senior Shopify & PHP Developer (Remote - Latin America)
EX Squared LATAM is seeking a Senior Software Developer with strong expertise in Shopify, its native templating language Liquid, and solid knowledge of PHP. This role is ideal for a developer combining deep Shopify expertise with full-stack technical proficiency to create scalable and efficient e-commerce solutions.
You will join our LATAM engineering team, partnering with global clients on high-impact, scalable software that drives digital transformation.
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain Shopify-based applications and custom storefronts using Liquid templates.
- Implement, customize, and extend Shopify themes and functionalities to meet client requirements.
- Integrate Shopify APIs with backend services and external systems.
- Develop and maintain PHP-based backend logic for application features, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, and product teams to deliver seamless, high-quality user experiences.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Shopify performance, ensuring fast load times and responsive layouts.
- Contribute to code reviews, maintain clean and reusable code, and follow best development practices.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of professional experience in web development, ideally in e-commerce environments.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Shopify and Liquid templating language (non-negotiable).
