Responsibilities and Attributions

Mission: Serve as the guardian of stability and quality for our production environment. You are the final line of defense before code impacts our customers. Your mission involves not just deployment, but ensuring all code entering production meets the highest standards for robustness, performance, and security. You will have the autonomy to block deliveries that fail to meet established criteria and will act as a technical quality consultant for Tech Leads and development teams.

What You Will Do:

  • Release and Deploy Management: Manage the delivery lifecycle, executing daily hotfixes and weekly Release Candidate (RC) rollouts, ensuring secure and controlled deployment windows.
  • Technical Gatekeeping: Function as a quality filter, reviewing critical code to ensure compliance with architecture, security, and best practice requirements before merge or deployment.
  • Performance and Database Optimization: Analyze critical SQL Server queries, identify performance bottlenecks, and require optimization from development teams prior to production deployment.
  • Observability and Incident Response: Proactively monitor production logs and dashboards. Upon detecting anomalies, coordinate incident response, activate relevant teams, and apply necessary fixes.
  • Quality Culture: Directly engage with Tech Leads and Developers, providing technical feedback on identified failures and recommending structural code improvements.
  • Automation: Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ensuring automated processes and tests are executed and validated effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Experience: Senior Developer background with 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Senior Development Expertise: Solid mastery of programming logic and software architecture. Must possess strong coding skills, comparable to or exceeding those delivering the code.
  • Hybrid Stack Proficiency: Mastery of PHP and xBASE language (xHarbour).
  • Advanced Database Skills: Deep expertise in SQL Server, including the ability to analyze execution plans and optimize complex queries.
  • Infrastructure and Cloud: Solid experience with AWS and managing production environments.
  • DevOps Tooling: Mastery of GitHub (including PR flow, Code Review, and CI/CD management).
  • Scripting: Proficiency in Shell Script, Bash, or Python for automating operational tasks.
  • Methodology: Experience working within Agile environments.
  • ERP Systems: Experience utilizing ERP systems.
  • API Knowledge: Solid understanding of implementing and consuming SOAP and Restful APIs.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, or CloudWatch).
  • Experience implementing automated testing.
  • Knowledge of Containerization (Docker).

Soft Skills:

  • Resilience and Crisis Management: Ability to maintain composure and organize solutions effectively during incidents.
  • Critical Vision: Refusal to accept "it works on my machine." Maintain a mindset oriented toward identifying failures and edge case scenarios.
