About the Role: Senior Software Engineer
We are seeking a product-driven Senior Software Engineer to drive projects end-to-end, focusing on impact from unclear problems to shipped solutions. This role involves working across the stack as needed, partnering closely with product, design, data, and operations.
Success requires partnering with product to frame problems and delivering secure, reliable, and maintainable systems through production.
Candidate Profile

- Drive end-to-end delivery of complex features or critical workflows.
- Lead debugging of complex production issues calmly, utilizing metrics, logs, traces, and data inspection to test hypotheses and find root causes.
- Support other engineers through mentorship, pairing, and code reviews.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality, including relevant observability and auditing.
- Care deeply about engineering excellence (reliability, testing, maintainability).
- Are comfortable working across the stack while developing depth in one or two areas over time.
Required Skills & Experience
- Approximately 5+ years of experience building and shipping production software.
- Experience with web applications, APIs, and relational databases.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and data modeling.
- Experience working with a mainstream language and web framework (e.g., PHP & Laravel, Ruby on Rails, Elixir & Phoenix).
- Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL/MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
- Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end where appropriate).
- Experience collaborating in multidisciplinary teams (product, design, data, ops).
- Comfort operating in a high-ownership environment with changing priorities and quick iteration.
Current Stack: PHP & Laravel, MariaDB, Vue.js, Inertia, Tailwind.
Note: Experience with the current stack is a plus, not a requirement. We prioritize judgment and fundamentals over specific tools.
