The Role: Senior PHP Software Engineer (Xodo Sign)
We are seeking a talented Senior PHP Software Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Xodo Sign eSign solution. You will be responsible for creating innovative new features and maintaining the existing codebase. As a software engineer at Apryse, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development process and encouraged to provide input on future projects and company direction. A love of learning new technology and techniques is essential. This role requires working Eastern Time hours to align with our global team.
Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Scrum product development team, implementing new features and improving existing functionality of the Xodo Sign platform.
- Engage in all stages of development, from requirements gathering and analysis to high-level design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Conduct research and prepare technical proposals and demonstrations for new projects and product enhancements.
- Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate closely with fellow engineers, offering support, knowledge sharing, and problem solving as needed.
- Champion and promote engineering best practices across the team to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience and strong proficiency in modern PHP, MySQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience with securing, benchmarking, optimizing, and scaling high-availability applications.
- Solid experience with AWS Cloud (EC2, S3, RDS).
- Proficiency in Docker.
- Solid understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Strong analysis and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications (Assets)
- Experience with the Symfony framework.
- A degree in computer science or computer/software engineering.

Compensation
The compensation for this position is commensurate upon experience, with a range between $120,000.00 - $145,000.00 CAD in on target earnings. Most hires for this role fall between the mid-point and upper-mid range, depending on experience.
