The project and the team

Our team of DevOps and Network Engineers focuses on automated firewall configuration migration workflows and client implementations. Our engineers leverage their deep knowledge of networks and hands-on experience to deliver comprehensive services from inception to completion.

  • Every team member undergoes an online training course, which includes a case study, live training sessions, lab exercises, and individual assignments.
  • We operate within a multi-vendor environment.
  • We collaborate closely with Professional Services engineers on the customer side.
  • Our primary client is based in the US.
  • We manage multiple engaging projects concurrently; therefore, we may invite you for an interview for an alternative project if your competencies and profile align well.

Your role

As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Professional Services team in business growth by utilizing available tools and team capabilities.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand their requirements and developing tailored solutions based on project scope and available tools/products.
  • Defining project timelines, deliverables, and risks, while estimating the level of effort and required resources for solution delivery.
  • Conducting Proofs of Concept (PoCs) for customers to effectively present proposed solutions.
  • Promoting an automation-first approach for customer projects and collaborating with the Development team to enhance the existing automation framework.

Do we have a match?

As a Senior Network Security Pre-sales Engineer, you should ideally meet the following criteria:

  • BS technical degree or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated and independent mindset.
  • 10+ years of experience, preferably in technical consulting within an IT or Cybersecurity services organization.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver PoCs based on automation technologies (Python, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Ability to conduct discovery workshops to understand customer needs and gather comprehensive requirements.
  • Ability to create detailed technical documentation (Statements of Work, project timelines, etc.).
  • Ability to accurately estimate the level of effort and required resources for project delivery.
  • Fluency in English (minimum B2 level).
  • Willingness to learn and tackle challenges requiring creativity, bespoke solutions, and teamwork.
  • Readiness to work flexible hours to accommodate regular meetings with customers across different time zones, typically involving afternoons and evenings for US-based clients.

Beyond the criteria above, we would appreciate the nice-to-haves:

  • Pre-sales experience is preferred.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure-based security appliances, such as firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, security proxies, and caches, as well as cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Experience with programming languages and tools: Python, Ansible, Terraform, PHP, JavaScript, or others.
  • Understanding of DevOps tools and practices.
  • Understanding of best practices in enterprise network security.
  • Multi-vendor firewall knowledge and configuration migration experience.
  • Firewall vendor certification.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and VMware.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines.
