About the Role
We are seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to join our Lenda team in Mexico, focusing on building a new consumer credit card. This role is crucial for our international expansion within one of Europe’s most successful fintechs.
You will be part of a small, cross-functional team with a startup mentality, rapidly iterating on a product recently launched in closed beta. Your main responsibility will be the React Native mobile application, ensuring high-quality features and a scalable frontend codebase. You will collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts, contribute to the broader frontend, and partner with product stakeholders to deliver impactful improvements.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, resourceful engineer who writes maintainable code and approaches problems pragmatically, with a keen interest in both the "why" and "how" of feature delivery.

Essential Skills
- Solid understanding of recent Typescript versions.
- Commercial experience in cross-platform mobile development with React Native and modern web development with React / NextJS.
- Proficiency in understanding diverse user needs across various platforms and devices.
- Experience with automated testing approaches, applying a pragmatic view to implementing and improving the testing pyramid.
- Ability to leverage AI development tooling (copilots, autonomous agents) to accelerate delivery while maintaining high-quality features.
- Strong product mindset, comfortable collaborating with product owners to define and estimate business requirements.
- B2 (Intermediate) level written and spoken English for clear technical communication within an English-speaking team.
What Would Make You Stand Out
- Working proficiency in written or spoken Spanish, enhancing effectiveness in the Mexican market.
- Experience using GraphQL in a production environment.
- Knowledge of mobile performance best practices and debugging.
- Familiarity with staged rollouts and multivariate testing for feature releases and hypothesis validation.
- Understanding of accessibility needs and relevant tooling/guidelines.
- Experience in UI/UX design, comfortable discussing approaches with product designers.
- Proven track record of building or contributing to products that have scaled to a large user base.
Interview Process

- 30-minute video call with a hiring manager to discuss experience and technical questions.
- 15-minute online cognitive assessment and a take-home React Native coding exercise.
- Final Onsite or Video Interviews:
- Technical session with peers to discuss the coding exercise, problem-solving, and technical experience.
- Interview with an Engineering Manager to assess motivations, goals, and team fit.
