Gambio, a key company within ECOMMERCE ONE, specializes in providing robust shop software for online retailers. We are actively seeking a talented PHP Developer to join Gambio's dynamic development team, which consists of 6 to 10 professionals. This role offers the flexibility of remote work, complemented by occasional in-person team meetings and company events.
YOUR TASKS
- Implement new features for the Gambio shop software, following the product roadmap from concept to release, and contribute innovative ideas for continuous development.
- Expand our REST API, event system, and integrations with essential partners such as payment providers, marketplaces, shipping services, and ERP systems.
- Identify and resolve software bugs, collaborating closely with our support team.
- Develop automated tests and conduct thorough code reviews for team members.
- Work effectively within an agile development team, partnering with Product Owners and QA specialists.
Depending on your experience, you may also:
- Make critical technical decisions and contribute to shaping the shop software architecture.
- Assume technical ownership for the REST API, event system, and various integrations.
- Plan and execute the modernization of existing codebases incrementally with the team.
- Mentor and support less experienced developers through activities like code reviews and pair programming.
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven professional experience in PHP development, proficient with PHP 8 and object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with MySQL/MariaDB, Git, and Composer.
- Experience with REST APIs and industry standards such as OAuth.
- Hands-on experience with automated tests (e.g., PHPUnit) and CI pipelines, along with knowledge of Docker.
- Openness to integrating AI tools into daily development workflows.
- Experience with popular shop software platforms like Gambio, Shopware, Magento, or WooCommerce is a significant advantage.
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly within a distributed team environment.
- Fluent in English.
