Senior Magento Web Developer (E-commerce SEO Focus)

We are expanding our international e-commerce operations and seeking a highly experienced Magento Web Developer to lead and manage our e-commerce platforms. The ideal candidate possesses over 10 years of development experience, specializing in Magento 2, advanced SEO best practices, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Magento-based e-commerce websites.
• Customize and extend Magento themes and modules for enhanced functionality.
• Integrate essential third-party APIs, payment gateways, and shipping solutions.
• Manage site performance, caching mechanisms, and security enhancements.
• Implement robust SEO strategies to significantly improve search ranking and visibility.
• Handle bug fixes, platform upgrades, and provide ongoing technical support.
• Collaborate with design and marketing teams on critical UI/UX improvements.
• Ensure comprehensive mobile optimization, accessibility, and responsiveness across all platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 10+ years of professional web development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Magento (both Magento 1 and Magento 2).
• Strong proficiency in core web technologies: PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery.
• Deep understanding of SEO fundamentals and practical implementation techniques.
• Experience utilizing and customizing Magento Marketplace extensions.
• Familiarity with Git, version control systems, and staging environments.
• Proven experience with complex API integrations (e.g., ERP, CRMs).
• Ability to work independently and effectively manage project deadlines.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal communication).

Highly Valued Qualifications:

• Magento certification.
• Experience with Laravel or other modern PHP frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud hosting platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).

Compensation & Terms:

Compensation starts at $18.00 per hour, up to $20/hour. Flexible hours are available, though full-time commitment is preferred. This role offers the option to work as a 1099 contractor or a full-time remote team member with long-term growth potential.
