Job Overview: Senior Magento E-commerce Developer (Remote)

We are seeking a highly skilled Magento Developer to join our dynamic development team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable e-commerce solutions on the Magento platform. The successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, utilizing various programming languages and software development tools to create seamless user experiences and contribute significantly to our online retail growth.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop, customize, and optimize Magento-based e-commerce websites according to specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and third-party services for enhanced functionality.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using languages including PHP, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Manage version control systems (GitHub, SVN) to ensure code integrity and team collaboration.
• Execute front-end development tasks using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related frameworks to enhance UI/UX.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging across various browsers and devices for application compatibility.
• Maintain existing applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and optimizing performance.
• Utilize cloud services (AWS or Azure) for deployment, hosting, and scaling solutions.
• Document technical specifications and system architecture for maintenance and future enhancements.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven, extensive experience in Magento development supported by a strong project portfolio.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like Vue.js or React is a plus.
• Solid understanding of back-end programming languages, particularly PHP (Magento’s primary language); knowledge of Java, C#, or Ruby on Rails is advantageous.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of APIs (RESTful services), application development, and software integration techniques.
• Familiarity with version control systems including Git, GitHub, and SVN.
• Strong problem-solving skills for efficient troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms is desirable.
