Aire Managed Services (Teradisk/SysAdminOK) is actively seeking a skilled Senior Linux Systems Administrator. This role is crucial for the maintenance and administration of our clients' systems and for managing our robust private cloud infrastructure, which is built on Proxmox.
What will your day-to-day be like?
- Managing the daily operations of client systems and their cloud infrastructures.
- Providing proactive and reactive monitoring for potential incidents.
- Collaborating with various infrastructure-as-a-service providers.
- Creating new client environments and offering comprehensive support throughout all project phases.
- Taking responsibility for testing and certifying new versions of our technology stack (e.g., PHP, PostgreSQL, Redis). This includes ensuring their secure and stable integration into the infrastructure and updating relevant Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories.
What are we looking for?
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Linux systems administration role, with a strong focus on managing high-availability infrastructure. This includes expertise in load balancing, replication, and failover.
- Advanced proficiency in Linux, particularly within Ubuntu environments.
- Extensive experience in the management, configuration, and administration of virtualization systems, especially Proxmox.
- Proficiency with our core technology stack: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx, CDN technology, HAProxy (load balancers), ElasticSearch and/or OpenSearch, Redis, Varnish, and PHP (at a configuration and optimization level, not development). These technical skills will be thoroughly assessed.
- Demonstrated experience in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) management for both provisioning and configuration, with a preference for Ansible.
- Experience in application deployments and/or collaborating with development teams on deployment processes.
- Expertise in managing and configuring monitoring systems such as Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Solid knowledge of backup management, including file and database backups.
- Ability to develop automation scripts using Bash and/or Python for server tasks.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys sharing knowledge.
- Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously for different clients.

- Knowledge of managing and utilizing public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Experience in implementing anti-DDOS measures.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Fluent written and oral communication skills.
