This position is specifically for the Infrastructure team, focusing on our Laravel Nightwatch and Laravel Cloud platforms. Laravel Nightwatch is a monitoring service for Laravel applications, offering real-time request monitoring, exception tracking, logs, and insights. Laravel Cloud is a fully managed infrastructure platform designed for developers and teams to deploy their ideas efficiently. Both platforms are highly optimized for Laravel and PHP.
Infrastructure Engineering at Laravel

- Work on our most ambitious projects: the recently launched Laravel Nightwatch and Laravel Cloud platforms.
- Dedicate time to researching optimal solutions, ensuring we execute tasks correctly and effectively.
- Engage in a collaborative process, including pair programming and quick huddles to resolve complex issues collectively.
- Enjoy programming, building custom tooling and integrations even while working with major cloud providers like AWS.
- Prioritize comprehensive documentation, crucial for an all-remote company, for both internal teams and users.
- Focus on the real-world product and customer outcomes, not solely on technical intricacies.

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in similar roles, ideally with large-scale production systems across multiple regions.
- Experience with ClickHouse is highly valued.
- Experience with Apache Kafka/MSK is highly valued.
- Mastery of AWS and potentially other cloud providers.
- Preferably, experience in large AWS environments managing customer data in multi-account, multi-region setups.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes (K8s) and overall container orchestration.
- Preferably, experience with large clusters handling customer data.
- Preferably, experience building and maintaining Go-based K8s operators using tools like Kubebuilder and Operator SDK.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in logging, monitoring, and alerting tooling and processes.
- Experienced and comfortable with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in a team setting, implementing sanity checks and policies for scalability.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, load balancing, caching, and DNS management.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, and fully remote environment.
