Our Shop Platform department develops and operates a comprehensive service ecosystem for our webshop. Our primary goal is to ensure an outstanding customer journey, spanning product search, configuration, and ordering. We achieve this by providing powerful, standardized services.
We deliver an attractive and seamless online shopping experience, guiding users smoothly from discovery to purchase. A core component is our configurator, enabling customers to assemble their products from over 3 million possible configurations within the webshop.

In this role, you will shape both the frontend and backend of our applications, utilizing modern technologies, clean code practices, and an architecture optimized for performance and security. You will contribute technical expertise and innovative strength to drive new ideas, sharing your knowledge with the team.
You will be central to developing new features and ensuring scalability. Working with your team, you will enhance our platform, integrating automated tests as standard practice. You will take ownership of service operation and maintenance, finding smart solutions to continuously improve system stability.
Your code will impact both our platform and our customers' workflows. You will collaborate closely with various departments to identify optimal solutions. You are responsible for keeping our tech stack current and helping decide which tools and technologies best serve our needs.
Requirements for the Role
- Successfully completed training in software development or a degree in computer science.
- Several years of experience as a Fullstack Software Developer with profound knowledge in both backend and frontend development.
- In-depth knowledge of PHP, a JavaScript framework (e.g., Vue.js), NoSQL databases, message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ), Docker, and automated tests.
- High standards regarding clean code, architecture, and overall code quality.
- Agile mindset and experience with Continuous Integration (CI).
- Experience managing stakeholders and the ability to confidently lead technical discussions.
- Team player with very good German and English language skills.
