We are revolutionizing Observability for Developers! With HyperDX now part of ClickHouse, we are redefining how engineers monitor, debug, and scale production applications. HyperDX is an open-source platform that converts telemetry data (logs, metrics, traces, session replays) into actionable insights, enabling faster root cause analysis. We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to develop a petabyte-scale, high-performance observability platform, prioritizing an exceptional Developer Experience (DX) (the DX in HyperDX).

What You’ll Do:

• Shape the product: Own and build critical features, focusing on frontend and backend systems to streamline developer debugging and monitoring workflows.
• Engage with the community: Collaborate with open-source contributors and customers, address their challenges, and integrate feedback into the product roadmap.
• Tackle technical challenges: Enhance HyperDX performance to efficiently process petabytes of observability data. Unlock advanced analysis tools for engineers to resolve production issues, while scaling our cloud-hosted platform for seamless, next-level performance.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience (experience building developer tools is a bonus).
• Strong skills in TypeScript and Node.js (specifically Next.js frontend and Express backend).
• Proficiency in a front-end framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular).
• Proficiency in SQL for query generation on ClickHouse.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• A passion for open source and the developer community.
• Experience creating developer tooling and a strong focus on developer-centric design.

Bonus Points:

• Expertise in distributed systems and event ingestion pipelines.
• Strong opinions on observability tools and a vision for significant improvement (10x better).
• Familiarity with additional languages like Python, Rust, or PHP for building integrations.
• Experience with SDKs.

Compensation

For roles based in the United States, the typical starting salary range for this position is listed above. A premium market range may apply in certain locations, such as Los Angeles, CA, the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, the Seattle, WA, Area, and the New York City Metro Area, as listed.

These salary ranges reflect our reasonable, good faith belief regarding the minimum and maximum pay for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary and is subject to future adjustments.
