By integrating information from over 150 security tools, it establishes a centralized hub for risk-based vulnerability management, automating workflows and enhancing security outcomes. The platform is engineered for scalability, streamlining vulnerability and exposure management programs to ensure efficient mitigation of potential threats.
Additionally, you will contribute to integrating a Python/Django application into the core PHP codebase, fostering deeper interoperability across multiple technologies within the product ecosystem.
Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer within our Engineering team, you will operate at the forefront of innovation, transforming early ideas and high-level product visions into tangible, impactful software solutions. You will collaborate closely with product and security experts to design and build new features, services, and tools that advance the capabilities of vulnerability management. This role offers a balanced blend of backend and frontend development, with approximately 50% of your time dedicated to architecting scalable backend systems and the other 50% focused on crafting dynamic, user-focused frontend experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Work with founders, R&D team members, and the engineering team to develop new, experimental technologies.
- Take ownership of the design, implementation, and deployment of our new AI-driven vulnerability intelligence platform and data feed, in conjunction with the R&D team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally, each utilizing different technology stacks.
- Build scalable backend systems using Python (Django) and MySQL or SingleStore.
- Develop dynamic and responsive user interfaces with TypeScript, React, and Tailwind.
- Investigate and integrate emerging trends in cybersecurity into product ideas.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Participate in architectural discussions and code reviews.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proven ability to thrive with minimal direction, particularly in ambiguous or R&D-heavy environments.
- Experience working with PHP codebases or integrating Python/Django components into existing PHP applications.
- Strong backend development experience with Python, Django 4.2, and the Django REST Framework.
- Solid front-end development experience with TypeScript + React 19.
- Experience with relational databases, especially MySQL.
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience working in cloud environments, ideally AWS.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies in a professional setting.
- Mindset: Creative thinker who enjoys solving complex problems and experimenting with novel solutions.
- Cybersecurity Passion: Demonstrated interest or background in cybersecurity. Experience in vulnerability management, threat intelligence, or related domains is highly desirable.
Will Be a Plus
- Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with big data analytical systems such as Big Query, Redshift, Snowflake, Databricks, SingleStore, etc.
- Experience working with vulnerability scanning technologies on any part of the tech stack (e.g., SCA, SAST, DAST, IAST, VM Scanning, Container, etc.).
- Experience maintaining applications on Linux platforms in cloud environments.
