The Role: Senior Frontend Engineer
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Frontend Engineer who is passionate about writing high-quality, maintainable code and leverages modern tools, including AI, to work smarter and faster. You will enhance frontend experiences by combining solid engineering fundamentals with a pragmatic, productivity-focused mindset.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship high-quality, readable, maintainable, and production-ready frontend code, taking features from idea to release.
- Thoughtfully use AI-assisted tools (e.g., for prototyping, refactoring, testing, documentation, or exploration) to increase delivery speed without compromising code quality.
- Work on Growth experiments and iterations, supporting fast feedback loops, A/B tests, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Backend, Product, and Design teams, ensuring clean interfaces, good UX, and shared ownership of outcomes.
- Maintain codebase health, improving existing areas, addressing technical debt, and raising quality where it matters most.
- Support the team through code reviews and knowledge sharing, leading by example and fostering craft improvement.
- Own day-to-day technical decisions for frontend implementation within Growth initiatives.
- Choose practical solutions and trade-offs that balance code quality, delivery speed, and business impact.
- Decide how and when to use AI-assisted tools to improve productivity while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Actively identify problems, risks, and improvement opportunities, proposing proactive solutions.
- Influence frontend best practices, patterns, and ways of working through hands-on contribution and collaboration.
- Escalate larger architectural or cross-team decisions when needed, while remaining accountable for execution.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience writing and maintaining frontend code used by real users.
- Clear understanding of "good code" in a fast-growing product (readability, testability, pragmatism).
- Experience using AI or automation tools to boost personal productivity while maintaining engineering standards.
- Comfort working in fast-paced environments where learning, iteration, and adaptability are key.
- Good understanding of frontend performance, UX, and accessibility basics.
- Strong experience with React.
- Very solid TypeScript skills.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Experience with component-based architectures and shared design systems.
- Familiarity with frontend testing and code quality practices.
- Comfort using modern developer tools, including AI-assisted workflows, for efficiency.
- Backend experience with PHP is a significant plus.
