The Red Hat Consulting team is seeking a Senior Application/Middleware Consultant to join us in Brazil, focusing on Keycloak/Red Hat Single Sign-On projects. This role involves translating client security business requirements into specific systems, applications, or process designs for very large, complex technology solutions and integrating architectures that utilize Red Hat Build of Keycloak or Red Hat Single Sign-On for Identity and Access Management (IAM).

You will act as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems, providing direction for design activities. This is often a project-based role, sometimes requiring work at customer sites. You will collaborate with Sales and Technical Delivery teams to deliver solutions that enhance the Red Hat Application/Middleware suite, including Red Hat Build of Keycloak, Red Hat Single Sign-On, JEE runtimes, business rules, API managing, enterprise messaging, Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), cloud computing, Red Hat OpenShift, and AI.

You will work closely with account teams, clients, and consultants to ensure architectural visions are communicated and delivered effectively. A focus on open source technologies is essential, requiring intimate familiarity with Red Hat's product offerings and conversance in the wider landscape of complementing and competing products. Consulting Architects are expected to divide their time between project delivery, non-billable internal initiatives, and presales activities.

What you will do

  • Build, design, and present complex solutions to customers using Red Hat Build of Keycloak or Red Hat Single Sign-On for identity and access management.
  • Provide project and technical leadership to multiple complex projects utilizing standard project methodologies and resource management.
  • Play a key role in managing client expectations.
  • Define goals and tasks for delivery teams in a project as a solution lead.
  • Collaborate with product teams, Product Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales teams to ensure excellent customer experience with our offerings and solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted subject matter expert for customers, gaining the trust of IT professionals, and building long-lasting relationships within key accounts.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor's degree required; master's degree in computer science, engineering, or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in Red Hat Single Sign-On, Keycloak, or Red Hat Build of Keycloak.
  • 8+ years of experience in consulting services.
  • 3+ years of enterprise architecture experience.
  • Proven architecture experience using cloud-native development, Kubernetes, agile integration, continuous integration (CI), test-driven development (TDD), service-oriented architecture (SOA), message-oriented middleware (MOM), Identity and Access Management, governance, high availability, scaling, distributed applications, and clustering.
  • Experience with Java development technologies like Spring Boot, WildFly Swarm, or JEE, including Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP), WildFly, Oracle WebLogic, or IBM WebSphere.
  • Familiarity with Java development frameworks like Spring, Netflix OSS, Eclipse Vert.x, or Play and other technologies like Node.js, Ruby, PHP, Go, or .NET.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Ability to manage both time and workload independently.
  • Expertise in designing implementation solutions to deliver expected business outcomes by applying application and technology capabilities.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, including Agile (e.g., Scrum), Waterfall, and Incremental.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

The following are considered a plus:

  • Experience with Red Hat JBoss, Camel, 3scale, Kafka, AI, and Red Hat Openshift.
  • Knowledge of the Red Hat Middleware portfolio.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Fluency in Spanish.
