As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contact collaborating with the Development Team to build, deploy, and maintain world-class applications for a leading Automotive Marketing and Technology company. This role involves expertise in DevOps, System Administration, and SysAdmin functions.
Responsibilities
- Deploy virtual machines and administer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GKE (Kubernetes).
- Set up robust build and deployment plans.
- Establish comprehensive monitoring for all applications, including performance and uptime monitoring.
- Assist the Development Team in debugging priority issues.
- Collaborate closely with development and IT teams to build modular and scalable applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support within a DevOps environment.
- 5+ years administering .Net stack applications, including Windows, IIS, and SQL Server; OR
- 5+ years administering .Net/PHP stack applications, including Linux, Apache, and MySQL.
- Administrative experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment using tools like GIT, TFS, Bit Bucket, and Bamboo.
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure and security, including firewalls and IDS.
- Strong understanding of security principles in technology; SOC 2 compliance standards experience is a significant plus.
- Experience in performance monitoring, uptime monitoring, and debugging solutions across the IT stack.
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as SonarQube, Selenium, or similar.
- Working knowledge of Microservices and their application in a cloud environment, particularly concerning .NET, AZURE, AWS, and GCP.
- Extensive experience with security principles: Authentication, authorization, OAUTH, SAML, public-private key encryption, asymmetric encryption, symmetric encryption, token validation, encoding, and single sign-on.
- Knowledge of caching strategy to enhance the performance of security systems.
- Monthly “On-Call” rotation with the ability to respond 24-hours a day to emergencies.
- Monthly weekend rotation for Production Patching.
- A+, MCP, Dell certifications, and Microsoft Office expertise are a plus.
COMPENSATION
