Quick Summary
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contact working with the Development Team to build, deploy, and maintain world-class applications for a leading Automotive Marketing and Technology company. This role encompasses responsibilities of a DevOps System Administrator (SysAdmin).
Responsibilities
- Deploy virtual machines and administer Google Cloud Platform and GKE (Kubernetes)
- Setup build and deployment plans
- Setup monitoring of all applications, including performance and uptime monitoring
- Assist Development Team in debugging priority issues
- Work closely with the development and IT to build applications in a modular and scalable fashion
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related work experience
- 5+ years' experience in IT support within a DevOps environment
- 5+ years' administering .Net stack applications (Windows, IIS, SQL Server, etc.) OR
- 5+ years' administering .Net/PHP stack applications (Linux, Apache, MySql, etc.)
- Administrative experience with Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment using tools such as GIT, TFS, Bit Bucket, Bamboo
- Solid understanding of networking infrastructure and security, including firewalls and IDS
- Solid understanding of security principles in technology; SOC 2 compliance standards experience is a significant plus
- Experience in performance, uptime monitoring, and debugging solutions across the IT stack
- Knowledge in automation testing tools like SonarQube, Selenium, or other similar tools
- Working knowledge of Microservices and their application in a cloud environment, especially as they relate to .NET, AZURE, AWS, and GCP
- Extensive experience with security principles: Authentication, authorization, OAUTH, SAML, public-private key encryption, asymmetric encryption, symmetric encryption, token validation, encoding, single sign-on
- Knowledge of caching strategy to improve the performance of security systems
- Monthly “On-Call” rotation with ability to respond 24-hours a day to emergencies
- Monthly weekend rotation for Production Patching
- A+, MCP, Dell certifications, and Microsoft Office expertise are a plus
COMPENSATION
