The Role: Experienced Laravel PHP Developer (Payroll Focus)
We are seeking two experienced Laravel PHP Developers to join our team, focusing strongly on our core payroll solution. You will work on mission-critical projects, utilizing Laravel to build robust, scalable, and accurate payroll systems. This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to enhance payroll functionality, improve reliability, and support platform evolution. This position offers flexibility for remote work, with a hybrid option available near our offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality web applications using Laravel and PHP, with a primary focus on payroll functionality.
- Build and enhance complex payroll logic, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and performance.
- Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and project managers to deliver seamless, end-to-end payroll solutions.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering strictly to best practices.
- Participate actively in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to improving existing codebases.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and scalability, particularly within payroll-related processes.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Laravel, PHP, and payroll systems.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer with Laravel, demonstrating a minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- Strong understanding of PHP, MySQL, and MVC design patterns.
- Experience working with complex business logic, ideally within payroll or financial systems.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript (Vue.js or React is a plus).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive payroll data.
- Ability to work independently within a remote or distributed team and communicate effectively.
- Previous experience with remote working tools and practices is an advantage.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and working with third-party integrations, particularly payroll-related services.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Experience with Docker or other containerization tools.
