About You
You are an experienced software architect with a proven track record of designing and deploying distributed systems into production. You possess expertise in scaling applications, including performance tuning, relational database modeling, data access patterns, caching, logging, monitoring, alerting, and urgent response. You enjoy building for and supporting engineers as customers, and you excel at designing libraries and tools that enhance efficiency.
You are humble, possess a sense of humor, and don't take yourself too seriously. You have experience in or aspire to work within the gaming industry, ready to apply your talents to chess.
What you'll do
Work with a small team of highly experienced engineers to create new, highly scalable services or enhance the scalability of existing codebase and storage for a global top 200 website. Contribute to technology, architecture, workflow, and design decisions.

- Experience with large data sets
- Experienced engineer adaptable to evolving needs
- Excellent understanding of software design and architectural patterns
- Multidisciplinary – familiar with various application stacks
- PHP and Java experience
- Experience with Kafka
- Experience with Redis

- Experience working with Cloud platforms
- Experience with SQL schema design and query optimization
- Experience with command line and Unix systems
