We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Backend Engineer to join our Communications team. This team is pivotal for the Unified Inbox module, which streamlines Guest-Host communication across various channels including email, SMS, WhatsApp, and OTA messages. The module empowers Property Managers with AI features, automations, templates, and scheduling capabilities to save time.
The Communications team manages a critical system component, handling substantial data volumes and requests, and interacting with diverse, complex APIs. If you possess experience and enthusiasm for such challenges, you will be an excellent fit.
Senior Backend Engineers at Hostaway are instrumental in designing, building, supporting, and evolving robust, scalable, and secure backend systems that power user-facing features. You will collaborate closely with your cross-functional team to own and deliver solutions that meet genuine customer needs, ensuring our platform remains reliable and extensible as we continue to grow.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in SaaS software development (production live product)
- Strong proficiency in PHP and/or Golang, with a willingness to work with both
- Experience in designing and developing RESTful web APIs
- Familiarity with transitioning event-driven service-oriented architectures using Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles
- Experience in writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests
- Experience working in a Cloud environment (AWS is a plus)
- Experience with message queues (e.g., AWS SQS) is a plus
- English language level C1
