Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer experienced in PHP (Laravel preferred) and modern languages, frameworks, and architectures. You will join a collaborative, senior-level engineering team focused on systems thinking, C4 architecture modeling, and clear estimation practices. Team members take full end-to-end ownership and drive technical decisions to achieve business outcomes.

This is a full-time role with remote working flexibility.

Your Future Role Will Include

• Designing and implementing scalable, maintainable, and well-tested systems using PHP (Laravel) and other modern languages/frameworks (e.g., Golang).
• Utilizing C4 modeling and architectural thinking for designing new features and systems.
• Participating in the full development lifecycle: concept, estimation, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and optimization.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with product goals and business priorities.
• Championing systems thinking, translating technical concepts into business value, and contributing to product discovery and delivery.
• Maintaining a strong focus on code quality, performance, and security.
• Mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge, and fostering a culture of continuous growth.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional development experience, with a focus on PHP/Laravel.
• Experience in at least one other modern language or framework (e.g., .NET Core, Go, Kotlin/Native/Multiplatform, TypeScript, Node.js, Python).
• Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
• Experience creating or working with C4 diagrams and system architecture documentation.
• Proven ability to estimate work accurately and deliver within agreed timelines.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including performance tuning.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and Linux environments.
• Experience with observability (o11y) tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence technical and product decisions.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker and containerized deployments in a Terraform environment.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS); certification is a plus.
• Background in event-driven systems or microservices.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and other Atlassian tools.
