Your Responsibilities:
- Development: Design and build robust, scalable web applications and service-oriented interfaces for complex business logic across various projects. Sustainably maintain and technologically advance legacy systems and existing applications.
- Operations & Support: Serve as the technical contact for third-level support, analyzing functional requirements, identifying incident causes, and proactively assisting with solution finding and release planning. Apply your expertise in incident response, including escalation, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
- Database Architecture: Plan, manage, and optimize our databases, focusing on efficiency and scalability to support future applications.
- Coordination: Organize team tasks, translating functional specifications into clear, structured sprint phases while keeping project goals in sight.
- Requirements Analysis: Collaborate directly with internal stakeholders to evaluate new functional and technical requirements, translating them into viable solution concepts and providing consultative input for planning.
- Documentation: Independently create and maintain development documentation, ensuring knowledge is securely stored and readily accessible.
What You Bring:
- Extensive Experience: A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification with at least five years of experience in backend development within the PHP ecosystem.
- Development Expertise: Proven experience with PHP (versions 7.3 to 8.4), PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Slim, etc.), MySQL database administration, SOAP web services, and JSON APIs.
- Team Collaboration: Experience working and communicating effectively within development teams (Git/GitLab, SCRUM).
- Quality Assurance: Familiarity with automated testing techniques (e.g., Codeception) and the ability to conduct independent code reviews to maintain code quality. React quickly and proactively to technical incidents, implementing critical hotfixes to ensure system stability.
- Framework Proficiency: Comprehensive practical experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel) and modern package management systems like Composer.
- Analytical Skills: A quick grasp and ability to rapidly learn new topics. Independent work within an experienced team completes your profile.
Location: This position offers nationwide remote work within Germany.
Language Proficiency: Fluent German language skills (minimum C2) are essential.
