Senior Backend Developer - PHP / Laravel / Node.js (L2 Support) - Remote

Our client, a Brazilian technology leader specializing in data analysis and compliance solutions, is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join their L2 Support team. This role is crucial for ensuring the maintenance, stability, and continuous evolution of high-criticality systems, data infrastructure, and APIs.

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in high-criticality environments, asynchronous libraries, and optimizing systems for peak performance.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position (9:00 am to 6:00 pm). Candidates must use their own equipment and maintain a robust internet connection (minimum 300 Mbps download / 130 Mbps upload). Access to company resources is provided via a fully monitored, standardized Linux VM (Ubuntu) accessed through a company VPN credential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and respond to support tickets using ITSM tools.
• Provide essential support and maintenance for production backend systems, resolving incidents swiftly to ensure service continuity.
• Rapidly identify, diagnose, and correct bugs and failures across systems, data sources, and APIs.
• Implement and maintain Web Crawler functionalities.
• Champion and enforce software development best practices, resulting in clean, efficient, and sustainable code.
• Drive code improvements and optimizations focused on performance, scalability, and security.
• Analyze error logs and metrics to determine the root cause of complex issues.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the quick resolution of critical problems.
• Organize, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery expectations within the development team.
• Identify process improvements and propose solutions that optimize development and feature implementation.
• Maintain flexibility to adapt to new tools, technologies, and evolving requirements in a dynamic environment.
• Interact professionally with internal teams and external clients as needed.

Technical Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in Backend development, specifically with PHP/Laravel and JavaScript/Node.js/Vue.js.
• Proficiency in integrating RESTful and SOAP APIs.
• Extensive experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Proven experience with Web Crawler technology.
• Active mastery and application of Artificial Intelligence tools in software development, problem resolution, and code optimization (essential to company processes).
• Deep knowledge of asynchronous call libraries, such as Guzzle or ReactPHP, for service communication optimization.
• Familiarity with version control tools, specifically Git.
• Strong understanding of web security practices and performance optimization.
• Prior experience working in high-criticality and high-data volume environments.
