Your Tasks
- Development: You design and develop robust, scalable web applications as well as service-oriented interfaces for integrating complex business logic across various project contexts. Legacy systems and existing applications are sustainably maintained and technologically advanced by you.
- Operations & Support: You serve as the technical contact person in third-level support, analyze technical requirements, identify root causes of incidents, and proactively support troubleshooting and release planning within projects. You contribute your experience in incident response processes, including escalation, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
- Database Architecture: You handle the planning, administration, and optimization of our databases. Your focus lies on both system efficiency and scalability to meet future application requirements.
- Coordination: You coordinate your tasks within the team by implementing functional requirements in clear, structured sprint phases and keeping project goals in focus.
- Requirements Analysis: In direct exchange with internal stakeholders, you evaluate new functional and technical requirements, translate them into viable solution concepts, and provide advisory input during planning.
- Documentation: You independently create and maintain our development documentation, ensuring that knowledge is sustained and remains accessible at all times.
- Software Architecture: You actively shape the technical architecture of our applications and services. In doing so, you further develop existing systems, design sustainable architectural concepts for new requirements, and make sound technical decisions regarding scalability, maintainability, performance, and long-term development.
What You Bring
- Years of Experience: You have completed a degree in computer science or equivalent training and bring at least five years of experience in backend development in the PHP ecosystem.
- Development Know-How: You have in-depth experience with PHP (versions 7.3 to 8.4), PHP frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, Slim, etc.), database administration with MySQL, SOAP web services, and JSON APIs.
- Teamwork: You have experience working and communicating within development teams (Git/GitLab, SCRUM).
- Quality Assurance: Automated testing is familiar to you, and you have gained experience with various techniques (e.g., Codeception). In addition, you independently perform code reviews to maintain code quality. You respond quickly and solution-oriented to technical incidents and implement critical hotfixes to ensure system stability.
- Frameworks: You possess comprehensive practical experience using PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Laravel) and are familiar with modern package management systems such as Composer.
- Analytical Skills: You are a quick learner and can rapidly familiarize yourself with new topics. Autonomous work within an experienced team completes your profile.
- Architecture Experience: You bring practical experience in designing and evolving software architectures and can translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions. You can evaluate architecture and design decisions in a structured manner, communicate them clearly, and put them into practice together with the development team.
- Language Level: Business-fluent German language skills round off your profile optimally (at least C2 level).
