Remote WordPress Developer & UI/UX Designer (Fluent English & Chinese Required)
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Designer and Developer with a strong focus on UI/UX to create high-quality, visually appealing, and user-friendly websites. This is a full-time, permanent, remote position.
The primary focus will be on WordPress development, including theme customization and visual builders, with occasional projects utilizing platforms like Shopify, Wix, or Webflow.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design corporate-level UI/UX using tools such as Figma, InVision, or Adobe XD, ensuring brand consistency and aesthetic quality.
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into responsive, pixel-perfect, and functional websites.
- Execute fast design iterations for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) while maintaining high design standards.
- Develop and maintain websites primarily on WordPress, leveraging expertise in plugins and visual builders (Elementor, Beaver Builder, WPBakery).
- Optimize, troubleshoot, and debug website issues across various platforms.
- Manage project workflows and timelines efficiently, ensuring timely delivery.
- Support and maintain existing and new projects, including webmaster duties for maintenance clients.
- Occasionally contribute to branding, graphics, and marketing collateral design.
Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have):
- Strong design skills in UI/UX with expertise in Figma, InVision, or Adobe XD (aesthetic sense is crucial).
- Proven experience in web design with a portfolio showcasing corporate websites and SME iterations.
- Solid expertise in WordPress, including theme customization and proficiency with visual builders.
- Experience with WooCommerce for e-commerce projects.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines while maintaining design integrity.
- Language Requirement: Fluent English and Chinese (Required).
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have):
- Experience with Shopify, Wix, or Webflow.
- Knowledge of PHP development and security best practices.
- Ability to develop custom WordPress plugins.
- Familiarity with technical SEO (site speed, schema, meta tags).
- Experience with DNS and server management (Nginx, Apache, MySQL).
Pay Range: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month.
