Quick Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in PHP-based test automation. This role requires mandatory hands-on expertise with Pest 4. You will be crucial in building and maintaining robust automated test suites, ensuring platform stability, and supporting development workflows across both backend (Laravel) and frontend (VueJS) components.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional passionate about automation and contributing to a modern, fast-moving engineering environment utilizing tools like Cursor and Git.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated tests using Pest 4, PHP, PHPUnit, and Selenium.
- Automate test scenarios for backend (Laravel) and frontend (VueJS) systems.
- Create and update comprehensive test plans, test cases, and documentation.
- Execute automated and selective manual tests for functional and regression coverage.
- Validate data integrity and workflows using MySQL queries.
- Log, track, and verify defects in close collaboration with development teams.
- Participate actively in sprint activities, including estimations and acceptance criteria reviews.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automated tests within Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
- Drive improvements in QA processes, automation frameworks, and tooling.
- Utilize Cursor and AI-assisted tools to accelerate test development cycles.
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in test automation.
- Strong background in PHP automation development.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Pest 4.
- Proven experience building automation for backend (Laravel) and frontend (VueJS) systems.
- Strong understanding of MySQL and database validation techniques.
- High level of English communication skills (written and spoken).
- Proficiency in Git, including branching, pull requests, and worktrees.
- Experience using Cursor or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Must be located in Latam.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience testing with Artificial Intelligence–assisted tools.
- Previous manual testing experience.
- Familiarity with ClickUp for documentation and task management.
- Experience with PHPUnit, API testing, performance testing, or CI environments.
