HelloPrint aims to be the world's leading infrastructure for customizable printed products. Our team of 100+ professionals from 20+ nationalities, based in Rotterdam and Valencia, is building an AI-first company designed for scalable output. We are actively rebuilding our platform, including ecommerce, APIs, and internal tooling, at high speed. This QA Engineer role is crucial for ensuring fast, safe releases and transforming QA from a bottleneck into a strategic advantage.

What you will build

• Automation frameworks enabling engineers to ship with confidence.
• Automated test suites (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) for ecommerce, APIs, and internal tools.
• CI/CD integrated QA processes to catch failures before customers do.
• Exploratory and edge-case testing to complement scripted suites.
• QA strategy and standards for the entire engineering team.
• AI-driven QA processes, including test generation and coverage analysis, to reduce manual effort.

Who you are

You approach Quality Assurance as an engineering discipline, not merely a gatekeeper. You are proficient in writing code to test code.

You have successfully deployed automation solutions that are relied upon by others and possess strong opinions on maintaining effective test suites.

Beyond identifying bugs, you advocate for their resolution by providing clear reproductions, demonstrating real impact, and assigning appropriate priority.

• You have developed an automation framework from the ground up that a team actively adopted.

• You have identified critical edge-case bugs that would have resulted in significant financial loss.

Must-haves

• 5+ years of comprehensive QA experience, encompassing both manual and automation testing.
• Strong hands-on automation expertise with tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Proven experience with CI/CD integration (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• In-depth API testing skills (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Exceptional ability in exploratory and edge-case testing, identifying issues beyond scripted suites.
• AI-first thinking, integrating AI into your testing methodology.
• High autonomy, minimal process adherence, and clear communication across multiple offices.
• Commitment to working from the Rotterdam office is non-negotiable.

Nice to have

• Experience in Ecommerce or SaaS at scale.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or PHP.
• Experience with performance, load, and accessibility testing.
• Familiarity with Docker.
