QA Engineer

As part of the Faria Education Group, Atlas is a leading curriculum planning platform, trusted by over 6,000 schools globally. It facilitates seamless collaboration for teachers, administrators, and curriculum writers, supporting the entire curriculum development lifecycle from initiation to continuous refinement within a unified system.

We are seeking a QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing of web applications. This role will contribute significantly to our product's quality assurance efforts, collaborating with product teams across the USA, China, and Ukraine.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the team to ensure accurate requirement fulfillment.
• Perform UI functional, non-functional, and cross-browser testing.
• Provide timely feedback to developers regarding stories and bugs.
• Create and execute test cases based on requirements documented in Jira.
• Document essential product-related information.
• Set up and manage automated tests for happy paths and smoke tests.
• Analyze and propose improvements to QA processes.
• Conduct release testing, smoke testing, feature testing, and write end-to-end (e2e) test cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Proven experience in Web UI testing and responsive design testing.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (written and spoken) for effective communication.
• Ability to use browser developer tools for root cause analysis of bugs.
• Strong understanding of the importance and benefits of automated testing.
• Experience in writing comprehensive test cases and checklists.
• Desire to learn e2e automation, preferably with JavaScript.
• Proficiency with test case management systems like Zephyr Scale.
• Knowledge of various functional and non-functional testing types.
• Understanding of client-server architecture.
• Experience applying testing methods and design techniques.
• Ability to create, support, and execute test documentation and test runs.
• Good understanding of QA processes within the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

Nice to Have

• Experience working with GitHub.
• Experience in test automation and knowledge of test automation frameworks, with opportunities for growth as an Automation QA (AQA).
• Experience with at least one programming language, preferably JavaScript.

• An eager-to-learn, flexible mindset, with a drive to gain experience and make a significant impact on the application.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player attitude.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency (both writing and oral).
• Demonstrated proper remote presence and etiquette, including timely acknowledgment of requests via Slack.
• Effective adherence to operating procedures, organizing daily and large-scale tasks with priority-driven sequencing.
• Readiness to coordinate work during business hours with the US West Coast team.

The team comprises 2 front-end and 3 back-end developers, 1 designer, and 1 product owner.
