As a Production Engineer, you will apply a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to design, build, and maintain complex systems at scale. You will be crucial in advancing our platform's scalability and functionality. Our hybrid production infrastructure, leveraging virtual machines, containerization, and serverless technologies, hosts hundreds of thousands of customer websites globally. We seek an engineer passionate about solving complex problems, collaborating in a fast-paced setting, and delivering an elite customer experience.
The Day to Day
- Infrastructure Management: Monitor, alert, investigate, and resolve production infrastructure issues across public cloud environments, including GCP and AWS.
- Automation & Optimization: Identify and implement automated, scalable solutions to optimize code and operational tasks, reducing toil.
- Incident & Problem Management: Engage in incident response for critical issues, track alert trends, and support root cause analysis (RCA) for structural improvements.
- Change Execution: Safely manage production changes, security requests, code deployments, and patching pipelines.
- Collaboration: Partner with your team and cross-functional stakeholders to align technical solutions with roadmap priorities.
Your Expertise and Passion
- Experience: 2-4 years in software engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), building and operating internet-scale production configurations.
- System Design: Strong grasp of system architecture, distributed microservices, and self-healing systems, optimizing resource and network utilization.
- Cloud & Containerization: Experience with containerized workloads using Kubernetes orchestration and Docker across public cloud providers.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in structural and automated scripting with object-oriented languages; strong experience in Python and Go preferred.
- Web Serving Stack: Solid understanding of modern web serving stacks and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Linux, Nginx/Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ansible, Terraform).
- Observability: Hands-on experience implementing metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus or EFK stacks) for maximum infrastructure visibility.
- Mindset: A proactive learner with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills, thriving in a team-first environment.
