Portfolio Developer

About the Role

As a Portfolio Developer, you will shape the strategic and technical development of our OXID portfolio. You will combine market and customer requirements with technical expertise, develop future-oriented solutions around e-commerce, modules, migrations, and AI, and work closely with internal teams, customers, and partners.

Your Tasks

• You will further develop our technical OXID portfolio, focusing on platform, modules, migrations, AI use cases, and solution-oriented offerings.
• You will analyze market, customer, and partner requirements and evaluate which topics are strategically relevant for OXID.
• You will structure and prioritize requirements to create a clear roadmap.
• You will conduct technical discussions with customers, partners, and internal departments, translate the results into clear requirements, and make them tangible through technical prototypes.
• You will monitor developments in the e-commerce market, competitors, technologies, and AI-supported solutions, and derive concrete proposals for our portfolio.
• You will support the strategic classification of topics such as migrations, platform development, modules, and AI use cases.

What You Bring

• Very good knowledge of PHP, Symfony, and MySQL, as well as experience in developing shop modules.
• Profound OXID experience through your own development, ideally with interfaces, migrations, or modules.
• Technical understanding of e-commerce platforms, architectures, and complex shop setups.
• Experience in Product Management, for example as a Product Owner, technical conception, or a comparable role.
• The ability to engage in deep technical discussions with technical teams and to structure requirements understandably for management, partners, and customers.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in a target-group-oriented manner.
• The ability to technically guide and develop potential Junior Portfolio Developers.
• A strategic view of customer and partner needs and the ability to derive meaningful portfolio topics and clear recommendations from them.
• A structured, analytical, and independent way of working with the motivation to shape a role between market, product, technology, and solution competence.
• Fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
