Your Mission

We’re seeking a highly experienced, technically exceptional Lead AI Engineer to architect and deliver next-generation Generative AI and Agentic systems. You will drive end-to-end innovation—from model selection and orchestration design to scalable backend implementation—while collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform AI research into production-ready solutions. This is an individual-contributor leadership role for someone who thrives on ownership, fast execution, and technical excellence. You will define the standards for quality, scalability, and innovation across all AI initiatives.

What You’ll Do

• You will provide comprehensive technical support for the platform and its associated microservices, including triaging support tickets, analyzing issues to determine root causes, and developing fixes when code changes are required.
• Your work will involve creating and maintaining support documentation, work instructions, and FAQs to enable platform users and ensure knowledge continuity.
• As the operational owner of AWS infrastructure, you will manage and maintain services including ECS clusters, Lambda functions, CodeBuild projects, S3 buckets, Route53, and CloudFormation stacks.
• You'll apply security patches and configuration changes, perform platform-level patching with appropriate downtime management, and optimize AWS resources for cost efficiency through proper tagging and monitoring.
• Working with Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation and Terraform, you'll deploy new platform versions and manage Docker container images through CI/CD pipelines.
• Your technical operations responsibilities include monitoring platform health using CloudWatch and Kibana, managing authentication and access controls, coordinating with development teams on enhancements, and troubleshooting connectivity issues between integrated systems.
• You'll work extensively with GitHub repositories, CodeBuild projects, and deployment workflows to maintain the platform's reliability.
• You'll work in a multi-account AWS environment using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS SAM), containerization (Docker, ECS), and CI/CD tools (CodeBuild, GitHub Actions).
• The technology stack includes Python, PHP/Laravel, and JavaScript/Node.js, with version control through GitHub and monitoring via CloudWatch and Kibana

What You Bring

• Strong demonstrable experience with AWS services is essential, particularly ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Route53, CloudFront, ALB, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Systems Manager, CloudWatch, IAM, WAF, Security Groups, and ACM.
• You must have proven experience supporting production applications built on AWS infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform) and containerization technologies (Docker, ECS) is required.
• You should have a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Git version control.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities, documentation skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities independently are critical for success in this role.
• Good to have Development experience with Python for automation and scripting is highly valued, as is experience with PHP and Laravel framework.
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions, Composer, npm package management, and API integration patterns will enable you to be more effective.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or regulated industries and understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements are advantageous.
