What will be necessary for our perfect match:
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields;
- Proven hands-on experience of at least four years in developing and maintaining PHP applications, especially in legacy systems;
- Solid knowledge of old and recent versions of PHP, as well as classic frameworks (such as Zend, CakePHP, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or Laravel);
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle);
- Familiarity with versioning tools (Git) and continuous integration practices;
- Ability to work with legacy code, refactoring when necessary;
- Good communication and collaborative spirit for teamwork;
- Analytical, resilient profile with a focus on problem-solving.
Desirable:
- Experience with PL/SQL language.
In your day-to-day, we expect you to handle the following processes:
- Evolutionary and Corrective Maintenance: Perform corrective and evolutionary maintenance on legacy systems developed in PHP, ensuring stability, performance, and alignment with business needs;
- Problem Analysis and Resolution: Identify bugs, investigate root causes, and implement efficient solutions;
- Development of Improvements: Implement improvements in existing functionalities and meet new business demands;
- Integration with APIs and Services: Ensure correct integration of PHP systems with external APIs, databases, and other systems;
- Technical Documentation: Keep documentation updated, describing changes and evolutions made;
- Collaboration with Teams: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams, such as QA, product, and other developers, to ensure aligned and quality deliveries;
- Good Development Practices: Apply good practices of versioning, testing, and code review, even in legacy environments.
