We are seeking a skilled PHP Developer to join a digital transformation project focused on European fund and investment management.
This is a hybrid role based in Lisbon, requiring 3 days per week at the client's central Lisbon office. Only candidates residing in Portugal with availability for a hybrid work model will be considered.
Important Note: This position is for experienced professionals with over 5 years in software development and strong expertise in PHP Full Stack. Applications must align with these core requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Full Stack PHP applications.
- Create and optimize MySQL data structures, including procedures, triggers, events, and functions.
- Implement and integrate REST/SOAP services.
- Contribute to defining system architecture.
- Analyze and enhance existing code, ensuring adherence to best practices (W3C and accessibility).
- Work within Agile methodologies and utilize GIT versioning.
- Collaborate effectively with the team and provide support to junior members.
Requirements
- Over 5 years of experience in software development.
- Solid experience with PHP (versions 7 or 8) in a Full Stack environment.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with MySQL, including data modeling and optimization.
- Proven experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony (v5/v6).
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, Clean Code, and PSR standards.
- Experience implementing and consuming REST/SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of GIT, MVC architecture, and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills for improving legacy code.
- Demonstrated team spirit, autonomy, and proactivity.
Valued Skills
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Vue.js or jQuery.
- Knowledge of Docker, Microservices, and Linux (Debian/Ubuntu).
- Experience with development tools such as Composer, PHPUnit, and Yarn.
- Prior experience in mentoring or leading development teams.
