Quick Summary
We are looking for an Observability Engineer with strong experience in monitoring complex environments, creating dashboards, integrating tools, and developing custom data collections to ensure end-to-end visibility of IT environments. You will act as a technical reference for monitoring solutions, metrics, logs, and traces, supporting the team in evolving the Observability architecture and promoting best practices, automation, and operational reliability.
Responsibilities and Attributes
- Deploy, maintain, and evolve monitoring and observability platforms (Zabbix, Grafana).
- Create custom collection scripts (.sh, PowerShell, Python) for specific metrics, logs, or integrations.
- Implement Zabbix Proxy, custom triggers, templates, maps, actions, and notification workflows.
- Develop dynamic and visual dashboards in Grafana and/or BI tools.
- Manage and integrate Cloud, On-Premise, and device monitoring (Server, Firewall, Switch, Storage, UPS, etc.).
- Create and monitor SLAs, SLIs, and executive dashboards.
- Perform integrations with APIs (JSON/XML/CSV) and tools like Jenkins, Power BI, and internal systems.
- Work on automation to reduce incidents and increase service reliability.
- Manage logs and distributed observability using tools like OpenTelemetry and OpenSearch.
- Lead continuous improvement projects in the Observability area.
- Ensure governance and best practices in environment management.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required
- Strong command of Zabbix (deployment, administration, scripts, templates, triggers).
- Experience with Grafana (dashboards, integrations, datasources).
- Knowledge of Prometheus, OpenSearch, ELK, or related tools.
- Solid experience in API integration and consuming JSON/XML data.
- Automation skills with PowerShell, Shell Script, and Python (for API reporting).
- Administration of Windows Server, Exchange Online, Azure, Hyper-V environments.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring (servers, network, storage, firewall).
- Knowledge of SNMP, SNMPv2, SNMPv3.
Desirable
- Zabbix certifications (ZCS, ZCP).
- Experience with Jenkins and automation pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Experience with inventory tools like OCS Inventory.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts (Ansible, Puppet, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of application observability (OpenTelemetry).
