MuleSoft Integration Developer (Remote)

We are seeking a MuleSoft Developer to deliver robust integration processes compliant with architectural standards. This is a full-time, remote position, contingent upon contract award, offering a salary range of $105,000–$120,000 per year plus 401k with employer match.

The successful candidate will clarify complex business integration requirements, contribute to the design and development of MuleSoft-based orchestrations and APIs, execute unit tests, analyze specifications, debug technical defects, and optimize integration flows.

Responsibilities

  • Translate requirements and user stories into technical specifications, release plans, and functioning software solutions in collaboration with Business Analysts.
  • Apply secure coding practices and standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and implement new and existing integrations to business applications, including interface work in Anypoint Platform™ and deployment to MuleSoft CloudHub tenants.
  • Identify and develop technical alternatives and enhancements for key integrations, including Salesforce and third-party providers.
  • Provide MuleSoft technical expertise during the evaluation and design of integration solutions.
  • Independently develop, test, and deploy high-quality software for integration processes of varying complexity, documenting technical design details.
  • Write, debug, and unit test complicated code, including authoring and executing unit testing strategies.
  • Communicate technical progress and completion clearly to internal and client stakeholders.
  • Maintain current knowledge of new and emerging technologies and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of software development experience covering system design, configuration, customization, integration, testing, and support.
  • 3+ years experience with enterprise integration technologies, paradigms, patterns, and designs.
  • 2+ years of hands-on development experience on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform™ (3.x).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience using Mule ESB and SOA/EAI technologies and API management (MuleSoft - ESB Enterprise Edition, CloudHub), including server administration and cloud deployment.
  • 3+ years of experience in web application development and programming in AJAX and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years experience programming with Salesforce SFDC, Force.com, Java, J2EE, HTML, XML, SQL, Oracle for CRM solutions.
  • Experience in the full development lifecycle of public and private enterprise services using RAML and/or REST based APIs.
  • Experience integrating various SaaS applications (e.g., Salesforce, Workday) and on-prem applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SQL Databases, custom .NET/JAVA applications).
  • Experience in all phases of the SDLC using Agile methodology (preferred) and familiarity with JIRA.
  • Strong knowledge of EAI/SOA best practices, development methodologies, and standards (e.g., RESTFul, SOAP, XML, JSON, AMQP, JMS, OAUTH).
  • Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment using tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Subversion, Git, Bamboo, Octopus, Artifactory, Jmeter, Gatling, and Junit.

Highly Desired Certifications & Experience

  • Certified MuleSoft Developer (Mule 4), MuleSoft Developer - Integration and API Associate (Mule 3), MuleSoft Developer - API Design Associate (RAML 1.0), or MuleSoft Developer - Integration Professional (Mule 3).
  • Experience with the MuleSoft API ecosystem (Anypoint Platform™, Exchange, runtime and access manager, designer, API portal).
  • Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, XSLT, WS-*, SOA/Integration, and API Management technologies.
  • Experience using a JAVA IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ, Netbeans).
  • Federal Government contracting experience with a consulting organization.
  • Demonstrated adherence to MuleSoft Development best practices (fragments, templates, logging/error handling, common data-model design, property value encryption, etc.).
