The Role: Moodle Developer
We are seeking a Moodle Developer with solid PHP expertise and deep platform knowledge. This role involves participating in the development, evolution, and maintenance of e-learning solutions for educational and corporate projects.
The selected candidate will join multidisciplinary teams, collaborating closely with analysts, QA, and integration teams throughout all phases of the development lifecycle.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing in Moodle (essential).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in PHP development (structured and object-oriented).
- Development and/or modification of Moodle plugins (mod, block, local).
- Proficiency with Form API, core libraries, and Moodle's internal architecture.
- Knowledge of MariaDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL databases.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for component customization.
- Experience using REST Web Services and consuming APIs.
- Proficiency in Git for version control.
- Strong analytical capacity, attention to detail, and technical documentation skills.
Main Responsibilities
- Developing new functionalities and modules within Moodle.
- Performing evolutionary and corrective maintenance on existing plugins.
- Resolving technical incidents and participating in functional and technical testing.
- Documenting developments and providing support to the functional team.
- Participating in deployments across DEV, PRE, and PRO environments.
- Collaborating with programmer analysts, QA, and integration teams.
Valuable Knowledge (Advantages)
- Experience in SSO integrations (Keycloak, RHSSO / RHBK).
- Knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, and CI/CD environments.
- Knowledge of web security and best practices (OWASP).
- Experience with Mustache themes or Moodle layout design.
- Contributions to the Moodle community or official Moodle certifications.
- Previous experience in educational or public administration projects.
