Migration Expert

About the Role

As a Migration Expert, you will be responsible for the technical planning and implementation of shop migrations to the OXID eShop. You will analyze existing systems, develop migration strategies, and ensure a smooth transition together with our partners and customers – including data, modules, and individual customizations.

Your Tasks

• A central role in migrating customer systems to the latest OXID eShop platform – in close cooperation with partners, customers, and internal teams
• Responsibility for the technical implementation of database and system migrations as well as the (AI-supported) development of suitable solutions for individual customer requirements
• Working with a modern tech stack: PHP, Symfony, MySQL
• Interface function within OXID – you ensure a smooth flow of information between R&D, Support, Solution Management, and OSC
• Direct exchange with external partners and customers to ensure a successful migration and long-term system stability
• Analysis, optimization, and adaptation of existing shop systems to new technological standards

What You Bring

• Very good technical skills in PHP, Symfony, and MySQL, as well as experience in the development and optimization of shop systems
• Sound OXID experience, ideally with versions 5, 6, and 7
• Experience with shop migrations or comparable technical projects, ideally with the help of AI
• Sound knowledge of databases, APIs, and system architectures
• Experience working with external partners and customers, and ideally with international teams
• Understanding of processes within a software company and the ability to act as an interface between internal departments
• Good analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Confident and professional appearance in communication with customers and partners
• Independent, proactive way of working with team spirit and strong communication skills
