Position Title: Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote - LATAM

What you will be doing:

This role involves joining a team responsible for the end-to-end planning, building, and deploying of our infrastructure and cloud-based systems. The ideal candidate must possess a broad technical background, a solid understanding of applicable web application systems, and a natural curiosity for producing effective solutions. Success requires patience, excellent time-management skills, flexible work hours, and effective communication.

  • Plan, maintain, and monitor cloud infrastructure, emphasizing our Azure accounts.
  • Build, release, monitor, and manage the configuration of all production systems.
  • Manage continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) methodologies for server-based technologies.
  • Focus on core administrative, operational, and infrastructure services utilized daily by an Azure Administrator.
  • Collaborate with software architecture and engineering teams to design and implement scalable software services.
  • Ensure necessary system security using best-in-class cloud security solutions.
  • Stay current with new technology options and vendor products, evaluating suitability for the company.
  • Achieve specific reliability and availability targets for the system, and measure/optimize system performance.
  • Implement continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines when necessary.
  • Recommend process and architecture improvements.
  • Troubleshoot the system and solve problems across all platforms and application domains.

Requirements & Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in IS/IT/Computer Science or a related field and 2+ years of experience, or 4+ years of equivalent professional experience.
  • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification or equivalent Azure real-world experience.
  • Intermediate to high proficiency (minimum expertise in 4 of 5 areas) in the following Azure Services: administration, daily operations, networking, storage, and monitoring.
  • Experience working with Identity & Governance (Azure AD / Entra ID + Access Control), Azure Compute (VMs & Containers), Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), Subnets, IP Addressing, Storage Accounts, Blob Storage, and storage lifecycle management.
  • Basic knowledge of Azure SQL Databases and Azure Functions.
  • Experience designing and building web environments on Azure, including working with various Azure services.
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-native applications.
  • A solid background in Linux/Unix and Windows server system administration.
  • Experience installing and configuring application servers such as JBoss, Tomcat, and IIS .NET.
  • Experience working with Azure monitor tools, including alerts, metrics, and log analytics workspaces.
  • Experience using monitoring solutions like CloudWatch, New Relic, and Prometheus.
  • An understanding of writing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), using tools like CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of one or more common programming languages available for cloud computing (e.g., SQL data, Python, PHP, Java).
  • Experience in troubleshooting distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages.

Nice to have:

  • Experience using development tools in a cloud environment, such as AWS DevOps and its services.
  • Experience with other major cloud computing platforms, such as Google Cloud and AWS.
