About the Role
We are seeking a Middle PHP Software Engineer to contribute to the development and evolution of reliable, scalable full-stack applications. This role is part of a collaborative, globally distributed team, focusing on modern PHP 8 development, MVC architecture, robust database design, and containerized environments to deliver high-quality, production-ready software solutions. What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain applications using PHP 8.X, adhering to object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and the MVC pattern.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability by complying with PHPDOC specifications and PSR standards.
- Design, optimize, and maintain MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Efficiently manage data migrations and PHP version upgrades.
- Implement CSS and Responsive Web Design (RWD) principles for optimal user experiences across all devices.
- Create and maintain Docker environments for streamlined application deployment.
- Conduct comprehensive application testing for functionality, security, and performance, proactively debugging and resolving issues.
Must Haves
- 3+ years of experience with PHP 8.X, demonstrating strong object-oriented programming expertise.
- Proven knowledge of the MVC pattern.
- Practical experience with MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with migrating between PHP versions.
- Proficiency in CSS and Responsive Web Design (RWD).
- Knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu) and Windows operating systems.
- Fundamental understanding of Docker, including creating Docker environments and Dockerfiles for Ubuntu.
- Upper-intermediate English level.
Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of PHPDOC specification and PSR standards.
- Experience modifying Docker containers for tool installation and execution.
- Familiarity with build scripts and Docker containers in CI/CD environments.
- Practical experience with Jenkins.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions.
- General experience with CI/CD pipelines.
