Role Overview
We are seeking a Mid-Senior Laravel Developer ready to step into a Lead Developer role. This position involves owning product development end-to-end while collaborating closely with the CTO.
As the Lead Laravel Developer, you will be responsible for architecting, building, and iterating on core internal and customer-facing systems at Super Organics. You will take ownership of full-stack development across Laravel, MySQL, Vue.js, and AI-enabled workflows.
You will work directly with the CTO to:
- Define requirements and scope features
- Estimate delivery timelines
- Develop iteratively in an an agile, incremental cycle
This is a highly autonomous role offering strong product ownership and a clear growth path into a permanent lead position as the team scales.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Architecture
- Lead backend and full-stack development using Laravel, PHP 8+, MySQL, and Vue.js.
- Architect reliable, scalable business support systems, including CRMs and internal applications.
- Own technical planning, solution design, and end-to-end delivery.
- Maintain high engineering standards, system reliability, and code quality.
Agile Collaboration
- Work directly with the CTO to translate product needs into clear technical scopes.
- Plan and estimate features and sprint work.
- Deliver in short, iterative release cycles.
AI-Accelerated Engineering
- Utilize AI tools and workflows to accelerate delivery.
- Identify areas where automation can reduce development time.
- Document and share best practices for AI-augmented development.
Additional (Preferred) Responsibilities
- Support mobile development in React Native (training provided if needed).
- Participate in architectural decisions for APIs powering mobile apps.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other developers when relevant.
Location: Remote (LATAM preferred)
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/week), Eastern Time (US)
Compensation: $2,000 USD/month
PTO: 2 weeks per year
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years professional experience with Laravel/PHP.
- Strong proficiency in Laravel 10+, PHP 8+, MySQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization), and Vue.js.
- Experience building and scaling backend systems.
- Ability to work in highly iterative, fast-moving, agile environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate directly with leadership.
- Comfortable owning a product end-to-end with minimal oversight.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with React Native (or willingness to learn).
- Familiarity with containerized development (Docker).
- Experience integrating AI/ML-powered services.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean).
