We are looking for a person to work as a Mid-Level Software Architect in our team.

Contract type: Individual Contractor (PJ/MEI)

Monthly Contract Value: R$12,000.00 to R$14,000.00

Requirements

  • Experience in designing and evolving complex system architectures, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Proven experience in PHP Laravel development.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies, including Python frameworks.
  • Good development practices utilizing AI.
  • Experience in environments with multiple squads/projects and service integration.
  • Ability to architect solutions for both on-premise/VPS servers and cloud environments (especially GCP), evaluating trade-offs.
  • Ability to define architecture standards and non-functional requirements (security, performance, observability) with other senior team members.
  • Experience in distributed systems, APIs, and service integration.
  • Skill in domain and data modeling (DDD or equivalents).
  • Ability to lead technical decisions and communicate trade-offs.
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering fundamentals (design, networks, security, databases).

Differentials

  • Participation in legacy modernization projects or migration to modern architectures (e.g., microservices, event-driven).
  • Experience with hybrid infrastructure strategies (gradual migration from on-premise to cloud).
  • Certifications in architecture or cloud (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF).

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the company's architectural vision and standards, aligned with business and long-term strategy.
  • Design scalable, secure, and resilient solutions for new and existing systems.
  • Ensure non-functional requirements (availability, security, observability, and costs) in all solutions.
  • Lead technical discussions and guide trade-off decisions between innovation and legacy.
  • Mentor tech leads and developers, promoting architectural alignment among squads.
  • Support system modernization and the integration of new products/services.
  • Participate in design reviews and analyze technical risks.
  • Establish documentation standards and technical governance.
