Quick Summary

IMESO-IT GmbH is hiring a mid-to-senior Software Developer (full-time or part-time) for a hybrid or home-office role in Germany to build and maintain distributed medical documentation software. The role involves feature architecture, bug resolution, and mentoring using .NET/C# alongside PHP, TypeScript, and SQL, requiring several years of professional development experience and strong object-oriented programming skills.

IMESO-IT GmbH develops and implements licensed software in the field of medical online documentation. Using .NET/C#, our small team of currently three people develops a distributed software system for exchanging data between customer servers managed by us and for live monitoring of these servers.

To complement our team, we are looking for a Software Developer (m/f/d) at the earliest possible starting date. With your skills and knowledge in software development, you will help us detect problems on customer servers automatically and at an early stage, thereby improving the stability, availability, and reliability of our systems. In addition, you will participate in the technical implementation of cross-clinic, telemedicine treatment processes, contributing to better patient care. As a software developer in our team, you will have the opportunity to actively shape the project. In our team, we decide together on priorities and the direction in which our software product develops.

These tasks await you:

  • Participation in the conceptual design and architectural planning of new features within the existing software system
  • Implementation of adjustments and new features, particularly with C#, partly also with PHP and TypeScript
  • Analysis and resolution of errors and bugs in our software
  • Participation in the design, adjustment, and optimization of internal and cross-team work processes
  • Communication with customers and our internal support team to gather requirements for our software
  • Collaboration with other development teams to implement cross-team development projects
  • Taking on responsibility for guiding less experienced colleagues after the onboarding period

What you bring with you:

  • Several years of experience in professional software development, preferably in areas such as databases, data transmission, data transformation, client-server architectures, web technologies, or IT security
  • Knowledge of how to build a robust and maintainable software system and the ability to make sound design decisions
  • Ability to independently familiarize yourself with existing software structures
  • Solid skills in object-oriented programming, ideally with C#
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Proficiency in using Git, ideally also GitLab
  • An independent way of working, good self-organization, and ability to independently identify tasks within the context of further developing our software
  • Enjoy working in a team, open communication, and actively approaching colleagues and other departments
  • Desire not just to work through assigned tasks, but to actively contribute to the design and further development of our software
  • Knowledge of Apache/PHP and TypeScript is an advantage

Prior knowledge of the medical field is not required for this position. We will provide the necessary technical background knowledge as part of the onboarding process.

Part of our philosophy is that all our employees contribute their skills and knowledge and take responsibility for projects, software, and workflows within their team according to their abilities. We are looking for people who do not just work according to rigid guidelines, but think along, independently develop ideas and solutions, and drive them forward responsibly.

What we offer:

  • No boredom: New and exciting tasks always await you.
  • No hierarchies: Your boss is not detached, but works with you at eye level.
  • Never alone: If you ever get stuck, your colleagues are behind you to help you out.
  • Do you like technology? So do we! That is why we have state-of-the-art technical equipment.
  • Quiet working atmosphere: No open-plan office, but an ideal environment for concentrated work.
  • Team events: Look forward to our summer festival and Christmas party, among other things.
  • With us, Monday to Friday is "Casual Friday": There is no dress code – you can come as you feel comfortable.
  • Flexible working hours …
  • … and flexible working locations: Work comfortably via VPN from home in your home office – even spontaneously.
  • Your physical well-being is also taken care of:
  • Freshly cooked meals prepared daily for all employees by our good soul in-house.
  • Coffee is available for free at all times.
  • Need a vitamin boost? Fresh fruit is also always available.
  • A height-adjustable desk and an optimally adjusted office chair help keep your back fit.
  • If you want to do even more for your fitness, you can voluntarily and individually train in our training room or take part in weekly training with our trainer.
  • If you want things to be a bit quieter, you can relax in our relax room with a massage chair.
