About the Role: Mid-level Backend Developer
We are seeking a Mid-level Backend Developer to join a strategic squad, focusing on systems that serve the entire company and support high-impact products. You will thrive in an environment with continuous deployments, evolving architecture, and real challenges related to scale, performance, and reliability. We are looking for a curious, collaborative individual with a strong engineering foundation, eager to evolve into more complex scenarios, including distributed systems, messaging, and application reliability.
Key Activities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems with a focus on quality, performance, and scalability.
- Work within a multidisciplinary squad, collaborating with product, design, and frontend teams.
- Translate business needs into efficient technical solutions.
- Write clean, reusable, and easily maintainable code.
- Implement and evolve APIs (REST and/or GraphQL).
- Ensure quality through automated tests (unit and integration).
- Participate in code reviews, contributing to development best practices.
- Support the evolution of scalable architectures alongside senior developers.
- Work with messaging and asynchronous processing (queues, events).
- Participate in the full development lifecycle: development, deployment, monitoring, and improvements.
- Contribute to performance improvements, observability, and developer experience (DX).
Mandatory Requirements:
- Experience as a Backend Developer, proficient in at least one language (Go, Python, Ruby, PHP, or similar).
- Interest and openness to learn new languages and technologies.
- Solid knowledge in Software Engineering.
- Strong foundation in data structures and relational databases.
- Experience with API development (REST and/or GraphQL).
- Knowledge of design patterns and development best practices.
- Experience with automated tests (unit and integration).
- Knowledge of messaging (e.g., AWS SQS/SNS, PubSub, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Notions of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or similar).
- Experience with version control (GIT) and collaborative work.
- Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Desirable Requirements:
- Experience with Golang.
- Familiarity with distributed systems.
- Knowledge in: resilience and fault handling, good practices for service integration.
- Experience with observability (logs, metrics, monitoring).
- Experience with Docker.
- Interest or experience in highly critical contexts (e.g., payments, sensitive data).
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture.
- Experience with performance optimization.
- Contributions to open source projects.
