We are seeking a highly skilled Magento Developer to build and maintain robust eCommerce websites for our clients. This role involves end-to-end responsibility, from initial setup and customization to ongoing security and performance maintenance. A successful candidate will leverage strong object-oriented programming knowledge and project management skills to deliver user-friendly, high-level Magento platforms tailored to client needs.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Liaise with the design team to align on project requirements.
- Build and configure Magento 1x and 2x eCommerce websites.
- Develop new functionality and implement front-end changes.
- Code Magento templates and develop custom Magento modules using PHP best practices.
- Design themes and user interfaces.
- Regularly update Magento installations and install critical security patches.
- Set performance tasks and goals for the platform.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues.
- Maintain security and feature updates post-installation.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ Years of Experience required.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (Preferred) in Computer Science or a related field.
- Magento certification is preferred.
- Certifications or demonstrable expertise in: Magento, JavaScript, HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL.
- Certifications in Node, React, Redux, Git, and JSX are also listed.
Preferred Skills & Technical Expertise
- Strong object-oriented programming (OOP) knowledge.
- Excellent PHP knowledge.
- Experience across the complete eCommerce lifecycle development process.
- Understanding of modern UI/UX trends.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools: Google Tag Manager, SEO, Google Analytics, PPC, and A/B Testing.
- Proficiency in design tools: Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Extensive LESS & CSS knowledge.
- JavaScript proficiency is mandatory for front-end development.
- Ability to project-manage and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
