For an organization within the education sector, we are looking for a Lead PHP Developer who helps teams grow, monitors technical choices, and plays an important role in the further development of business-critical applications used daily by thousands of users.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Lead PHP Developer, you form the bridge between business and technology. You work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to design technical solutions that are not only functional, but also scalable, maintainable, and future-proof.
In this role, you are responsible for translating business issues into technical designs and architectural choices. You think about the long term, monitor the technical quality of the applications, and help teams make the right choices. In addition, you take on a coaching role towards medior and junior developers and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
In addition to the strategic aspect, you remain actively involved in software development. You participate in technical discussions, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and contribute to the further professionalization of development processes. This gives you a direct influence on both the technical direction and the development of the team. You work on long-term software platforms within an environment where ownership, collaboration, and quality are central. This gives you the opportunity to make a real impact and see the results of your work in practice.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's/Master's level of thinking and working
- Extensive experience with PHP and Symfony
- Experience in a technical lead or senior role
- Experience with stakeholder management
- Experience with software architecture and technical decision-making
- Knowledge of modern software architectures and integrations
- Experience with CI/CD processes
- Knowledge of tooling such as RabbitMQ and Redis is a plus
