Duties
- Design engaging, user-friendly websites using WordPress, ensuring seamless navigation and compelling visual appeal through effective UI/UX principles.
- Develop custom themes and plugins to extend WordPress functionality, leveraging PHP, JavaScript frameworks (such as React or Angular), and CSS preprocessors like SCSS or Sass.
- Implement responsive web design techniques to ensure optimal performance across all devices and screen sizes.
- Integrate third-party APIs and develop RESTful APIs for dynamic content management and enhanced web services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies, managing projects through tools like Jira or Trello to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Optimize websites for SEO, speed, scalability, and security by applying best practices in software development and DevOps workflows with tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain version control using Git or SVN while adhering to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards for high-quality deliverables.
Skills
- Proficiency in WordPress theme and plugin development with a strong understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience working with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js to enhance front-end functionality.
- Knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, and data visualization techniques.
- Familiarity with server environments like Linux or Windows Server; experience deploying on AWS or Azure cloud platforms is a plus.
- Expertise in front-end development tools such as Bootstrap, Sass, Wireframing tools for UI/UX design, and developer tools like Visual Studio or Chrome DevTools.
- Experience with version control systems (GitHub, SVN), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
- Knowledge of SEO optimization strategies to enhance online visibility.
- Ability to develop responsive designs that prioritize user flows while ensuring accessibility standards are met within an Agile environment using Trello or Jira for project management.
