Intellectual Ninjas is looking for a creative and knowledgeable web designer to join our squad!

We are seeking a driven individual with a keen eye for detail, creativity, and innovation, who excels under pressure. This Junior Website Designer/Developer will collaborate with Web Development Leads and Project Teams to create engaging new websites, manage revisions, and implement additions to existing sites. Both part-time and full-time remote opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

• Self-manage daily tasks to ensure timely completion of all scheduled weekly projects.
• Effectively manage time to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain professional and prompt internal communication.
• Offer insights on web design strategies and Google Best Practices.
• Stay current with design trends, website security, and platform version releases.

Location

This is a remote position with open location.

• Must be comfortable working in a remote environment.
• EST or CST time zones preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of web design conventions, standards, and current trends.
• Understanding of user experience (UX), web standards, SEO optimization, and Google Best Practices.
• Proficiency in HTML5 and CSS3; basic PHP/MySQL knowledge.
• Proven experience in WordPress and WooCommerce design and development; Shopify experience is a plus.
• Skilled in graphic editing tools, including Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Ability to receive and apply constructive criticism on project design.
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take initiative.
• Enthusiasm for website architecture and user experience (UX) design.
• Excellent professional communication skills for both internal and external interactions.
• Up-to-date knowledge of the latest web technologies, features, security, and version updates.
• Professional, dependable, strong work ethic, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
• A keen eye for detail and dedication to quality.
• Knowledge of website functionality and user experience (UX) best practices.
• Customer service-oriented with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
• A proactive problem solver.
• Comfortable with a remote work environment.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a web designer/developer (2+ years desired).

NOTE: We do not use Divi Builder. This is an important consideration.

• Impressive portfolio showcasing a proven track record in web design.
• Ability to quickly build using modern WYSIWYG builders.
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS is essential.
• Experience with responsive web design principles and implementation.
• Outstanding Photoshop skills.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and/or InDesign.
• High level of design skill and technical proficiency.
• Client communication and service experience preferred.
