As the KEWW platform evolves, we are seeking a motivated, solutions-oriented Junior Software Developer to support, maintain, and enhance our live mobile application and associated web platforms.

A key priority is finding a candidate with hands-on experience in iOS and Android applications, including testing, troubleshooting, releases, and familiarity with the Apple App Store and Google Play. Professional experience is valued, but relevant internships, coursework, freelance work, and personal projects will also be considered.

You will collaborate with an experienced developer and our internal team to investigate bugs, test updates, maintain features, support app releases, and contribute to future platform enhancements.

This is a part-time, fully remote position. Candidates must reside in the Greater Houston area. The starting rate is $18 per hour.

What You’ll Work On

Your primary focus will be supporting the ongoing development and performance of the KEWW iOS, Android, and web platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support and maintain the KEWW mobile application for iOS and Android.
  • Assist with testing and preparing application updates for the Apple App Store and Google Play.
  • Troubleshoot app-store submission, approval, compatibility, and release issues.
  • Test mobile builds, bug fixes, software updates, and new features.
  • Identify, investigate, reproduce, and document reported software bugs.
  • Troubleshoot issues reported by users and internal team members.
  • Assist with application release testing across various mobile devices and operating systems.
  • Support website updates, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Assist with front-end development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Support PHP and WordPress customization as required.
  • Troubleshoot APIs, integrations, authentication, notifications, and application functionality.
  • Document reported issues, testing results, fixes, release notes, and completed updates.
  • Collaborate with the lead developer and internal team on technical projects.
  • Clearly communicate progress, questions, and potential roadblocks.
  • Contribute ideas for enhancing platform functionality and user experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on exposure to developing, testing, maintaining, or supporting iOS and Android applications.
  • Familiarity with the Apple App Store/App Store Connect and Google Play/Google Play Console.
  • Understanding of mobile application builds, testing, releases, and version updates.
  • Foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with software debugging, testing, and issue documentation.
  • Basic understanding of APIs and web-development principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar technologies and systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable collaborating in a remote work environment.
  • Currently located in the Greater Houston area.
  • Comfortable with the starting rate of $18 per hour.
  • A degree or educational background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Relevant professional experience, internships, certifications, coding bootcamps, freelance development, academic projects, and portfolio work will be considered.

Preferred Technical Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:

  • Swift, SwiftUI, Objective-C, or Xcode.
  • Kotlin, Java, Android Studio, or Jetpack.
  • React Native, Flutter, or other cross-platform mobile frameworks.
  • App Store Connect.
  • Google Play Console.
  • Mobile application signing, provisioning, and release builds.
  • Push notifications and mobile authentication.
  • Mobile crash reporting and analytics.
  • WordPress and PHP.
  • React or Vue.
  • REST APIs and system integrations.
  • Git or GitHub.
  • Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
  • Figma.
  • Trello, Jira, or Asana.

While not expected to know every technology listed, candidates should possess genuine, hands-on exposure to mobile applications and be prepared to discuss their experience with iOS, Android, App Store, or Google Play testing and releases.
